This young woman is a truly beautiful young woman, 21, who happens to be caught in a pose that does not show her true beauty.

Other photos show that she has classical good looks with a beautiful face. (Apologies to her, if she happens to be browsing, but she saw this and gave her permission -- not needed -- to post it, as she thought it was indeed 'strange' and 'funny' (both 'humorous' and 'odd'), but also quite a very true and telling photo.

This young woman is very bright, and full of personality; she calls herself 'goofy' but indeed she is just extremely 'animated' as this photo shows.

What I like about this, John, is that the guy in the back seems completely uninterested in her story - like maybe he's heard it a hundred times before. Very expressive photo - and she may be a little goofy, in a nice sort of way. Cheers.

Goofy in a nice sort of way, maybe. She was pleased to be photographed, even in such a way, and gave me a very warm hug that was very genuine. I hope she enjoys this oddball photo if she sees it; knowing that she's quite a beauty.

This photo did not show so well when posted, and a contrast increase, brightness decrease has been applied -- which IMO makes this a better photo.

Thanks for bearing with me -- uploading is more difficult than most might suppose.

John, there is something difficult in the way you have photographed this girl. Her EYES! she looks blind!! is she?all her appearance is not complimenting her, so I'm curious to know Why have you choosed to present her like this?

in general, the scene is well done in B/W.Pnina

She's doing something that people sometimes do when they are trying to emphasize a point, and I caught that rare moment: She's 'rolling her eyes'.

Her eyes are not blind, but she has rolled them upward to make a point at how distressed she was at the 'cheating' behavior of her former boyfriend. She's amazingly expressive, and this is her way of showing her great disdain and surprise at that life circumstance. I was fortunate enough to capture it.

I have a number of other photos of her looking expressive and capturing her in a more favorable light, but this is the most 'surreal' if you will and the most interesting, I think. I could have chosen others, but this is the one there is no other like it (il n'ya pas d'autre) -- none like it, probably ever. So I chose to post it.

She knows how attractive she is, and I felt it when she hugged me; she's truly a warm, generous and genuine person.

When I was lawyering, in my first trial, a man who co-signed an attorney agreement to guarantee his brother's payment of brother's divorce, I represented the attorney.

The defendant, a Persian with a graduate education, testified that the attorney literally wrestled him to the floor of the courtroom elevator and actually held his hand and physically moved the man's hand (which he protested, he said) as the man's hand put his name on the cosigner line on the contract.

He also said he was incapacitous because he was foreign born (Middle East - Persian) and he had a low education.

On cross-examination, he admitted that he had a Master's from a local California State University. The degree was earned by studies in the English language.

The judge rolled his eyes while the man was testifying.

The man got a full chance to 'defend', but when judges roll their eyes like this, you ain't got a chance.

It means they're counting the holes in the acoustical ceiling tile, and thinking of their golf game or their children.

(We won of course.)
