Another "cheap shot" David :-). Love it. Great angle and idea. Better than the last....dont have $50000AU to spend on MF digital back shot! Great DOF too. Whats holding the Hasselblad?

Chris, Thanks!

Maurizio, I like the photo too but I am not sure I deserve so much praise. I humbly thank you.

David C, The idea was quite simple. I have taken a few shots like this and they do seem to be popular. As for the film in the camera.... the actual film can be seen here. (See reply to David B, for an explanation.)

Janet, You may have hit the nail on the head. A lot of people do call me crazy. I am glad that I am able to put this madness to some use. Thanks.

David B, Yes David! Not exactly the cheapest of props. I will be uploading photos taken with less expensive props later. I hope you enjoy them.

Alas it is not a Hasselblad. It's a Kiev 88 which is a Ukranian copy of a Hasselblad. (501 CM I think.) I guess this makes it cheaper than you originally thought. If you look carefully you will see one of the feet of the tripod holding the Kiev. The camera that took the picture is being held by another tripod. (You can see two of the feet of that tripod.)

Unfortunately the camera leaks light like a window. Most of the photos taken with it are ruined by the light leak. Your comment did make me smile though. After playing with this camera, I realised that I like playing with medium format.... so I went out and bought a Mamiya..... no digital back for it..... YET!

David, I'm so glad you're doing more of these! Using the mirror to create the second image just adds that much more to the composition. I also prefer this one to the first in this series (this will be a series won't it?). My only minor concern is the tiny bit of green creeping in at the upper right corner, though it's hardly worth mentioning.

Lee, Thanks for the encouragement. Not everyone agrees with you though. A couple of 3/3 ratings have been given already.

Timothy, I do try sometimes. I like this one myself. Thanks.

Laurie, I am not sure about a series but I do like taking this type of shot. I'll see what I can do. As for the green, you are correct. It would be possible to crop it out without having too much effect on the composition.

Thanks everyone.

Just returned this evening from Oaxaca tonight and found this McCracken gem. Well done as always my friend. More later.

Alexandre, Thanks for the comment. You seem to understand my intentions perfectly.

Owen, I have missed your encouragement. You will have a lot to catch up on and I appreciate that you have taken the time to stop here. I have uploaded quite a few images while you have been away. I hope that we will see some of your recent images here soon.

This is an unbelievably fun photo! Why didn't I think of this?? Errr, maybe because a 'Blad is far more photogenic than a Bronica, he he he. (6/7 by the way)...

Better late then never. Another one for you. Your pursuit and zest for pleasure is admirable. Keep on going. ^_^
