min 0 Posted October 12, 2005 That is a very, very, very (did I mention very) sharp macro. If I had the patience, I could count the number of hairs off it's body. Speaking of hair, I like the powdery yellow pollen sticking to it as it gives the photo a sense of realism. Brilliant yellows and pitch blacks. How did you get the black background? Did you take this shot in a studio? Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted October 12, 2005 Excellent details of so big/close Bee! Wow she is enormous, but I think you need more space around her, especially the bottom as you cutted its wings :) Did you try to make it more bigger for the details?? Thank you, Biliana Link to comment
cromwell1664877587 0 Posted October 12, 2005 Thanks for the comments. I'm loving my new camera I got last week. A shot this close with my F828, being limited to f8, I would have had to compose this image of at least two shots for this much dof. Min - I got the background black by using a flash and a fast shutter speed and no, it was just taken in a field. Biliana - Yes, I was just getting as close as I could for more detail. The only crop I did was the sides. Link to comment
