Howard- I love it! I can tell the smile is just for the guy behind the camera :) Because, I'm sure it hurts like heck! While I know kids heal a lot faster than us old people ( :) ) it is painful.

 

I've started OT, 3 times a week. My therapist is wonderful. She understands the need for me to get all my fine motor movement back and my treatment is tailored to this need.

 

It seems so funny. I sit at the "Hand" table. It reminds me of a feeding table we used when I worked at a nursing facility. Kind of a half circle thing. Anyway, others also sit at the hand table with me. Each has their own little story of why they are there. Of course, I am the class clown & wise cracker. Each time I go, I meet new victims, each with their own story. While we are all in pain, we try to keep a sense of humor. Each telling the stories of our experiences along the way. Like: How I got dressed the first time! :) How I get my food cut up! :) How funny it makes you feel to have your daughter cut YOUR food! :) How the crime happened. This is usually the most amusing. Like me: rolling down an embankment!!!! One guy had a 4-wheeler accident. He had a ball cap on. I remarked how luck he was he didn't fracture your skull. He whipped off his hat to reveal a huge scar on his head. He said,"I wasn't that lucky!" We both laughed.
