byronlawrence 0 Posted October 10, 2005 this has to be a collage or PS work, so I will say that the white balance on the clouds looks different than that of the plane.. but either way... great plane picture! Link to comment
thomas_turk 0 Posted October 10, 2005 You forgot to remove the stand underneath the fuselage that supported the model. The climb angle should be steeper, thems is big ingins like...In any case, nobody is allowed to get this close for an aerial shot, and... a 1000mm lens would have the clouds OOF.. Sorry...TT Rtd Airline Training Capt. Link to comment
Coho 2 Posted October 10, 2005 OK, I'm just learning how to do some of these things. This is not a model but the real thing. It is on display at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. The clouds are actually a model. Link to comment
tholte 16,567 Posted October 12, 2005 TT, this is one of the first times where you have actually hit the old nail on the head! Link to comment
sonicstep 0 Posted October 12, 2005 TT and Co. I believe this execution is called artistic license. Although my choice of angle of attack would also be steeper if only for more drama. Link to comment
Coho 2 Posted October 12, 2005 Remember: mach 2 at 55,000 feet. In this image it is already at 35,000 feet; around 10,000 meters, and the angle of attack is less. Come on guys, this is pure fantasy! Link to comment
Coho 2 Posted October 13, 2005 yea right (left, center, etc.) Its as real as the pixels on your screen. Link to comment
john falkenstine 1 Posted October 15, 2005 So David; have you gone into the older original building and smelled the banana oil? Terrific place! Link to comment
Coho 2 Posted October 16, 2005 Yes John, the older boeing building is very interesting & you can still smell the banana oil. They have recently opened a completely new building with restored WW I & II planes. It is vey dark. Bring a tripod. Link to comment
