susan stone 0 Posted October 10, 2005 This composition sits so perfectly within it's borders it couldn't be more balanced if you used a ruler! So well seen and captured, seems of another time and place. It does my heart good to know this culture still exists. Excellent use of sepia, gives it that old time look and feel. Link to comment

jim kerr 0 Posted October 10, 2005 Sondra, there's alot of details that make this a real keeper. The two that really catch my eye are those sprattled out wheels and his broken suspender.Of course what Susan commented is no less important as well.....You know, I don't think much gets by your eye, bet it has to do with being in a classroom with all your students to keep an eye on.....Like several other of the great ones on here, viewing your photos are an adventure......From central Indiana....Jim Link to comment

ada-ipenburg 0 Posted October 10, 2005 Great moment you've captured here Sondra. Your pictures of the Amish people are very particular because they give us a look as well in the past as in the present. I agree with Susan that it is a good thing that this unique culture of faithful and strict to the rules living people still exists. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 12, 2005 Sondra, what was my first impression is the line of heads... horse's first and on the same line a little lower the man's...makes it interesting point of view, with all the other ellements mentioned already. I like the sepia very much here. Pnina Link to comment
novastorm 0 Posted October 14, 2005 Excellent Sondra. I would crop the top down to take out some of the white sky but thats me. 7/7 the whole shot speaks volumes especially during these times of high gas prices. Not to mention the total low enviromental impact associated with it. Plus the loop in the suspenders rocks. ~ Rgds Nova Link to comment
