robertbrown 1 Posted October 8, 2005 Comments appreciated on the toning and composition. Part of a new series. Link to comment
calee allen 0 Posted October 8, 2005 Great light and choice of backdrop, strong composition. I like the focus low, near the bristles. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted October 10, 2005 I like the composition and the focus. Done with the technical stuff, there is something more subtle which I like: the brush itself is heavily textured, and your focus and composition pulls this out. In particular the fact we see both the tip and the sides of the thing, all with their regular lines, or apparent chaos. Now, we are confronted with the rather blurred effect of a brush, in the background, and this texture+sharp/blurred+wavy justapoxition bring the picture one level above the just-graphical effect, since makes you think that, eventually, the texture of the brush is just a part of the final results. All this told, I wonder whether one could not play this game also chromatically: you've a brush of a colour, but that is not related, almost clashing, with the colours it produces... since this is a new project, thought you might like the idea. Glad to see you back posting on PN. Link to comment
