alecee 0 Posted October 8, 2005 I was struck by the raw look of this student marching. Even though he realised I was pointing the camera at him he is unnerved. Just concentrating on the march and thoughts in his head. Did I succeed in capturing the moment? Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted October 8, 2005 I am sure the student knows the difference between a camera and a gun. Just teasing Alec. A good catch! Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted October 8, 2005 Thanks David, Kathryn, just love the way the sweaty droplets sparkle on his face. There are also some goose pimples on his dark colored neck. Taken at 270mm the Sigma 50-500mm digital lens sure did it's job well. Link to comment
chips2 0 Posted October 8, 2005 The lens sure did a good job!It got a beautiful depth . Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted October 8, 2005 Absolutely! Beautiful image for capturing the nonchalant attitude of the boys and loud & clear caption. Morning shows the day? Link to comment

rkynast 1 Posted October 9, 2005 Alec - for me, this is a world-class shot. He is aware of what's going on around him, he has to be to do his work, but the level of concentration...you just know he's going to be exhausted when it's over. Excellent shot. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted October 9, 2005 My sincere appreciation guys for commenting positively on this image. In a way, I was a little apprehensive in posting it especially after the horrendous terrorist incident in Bali recently. I'm so glad that this image is not viewed in a negative aspect. The student may appear determined and strong and I believe every country and religion strives to maintain peace and harmony towards everyone. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 12, 2005 Alec, it was taken in Indonesia. Interesting expression. It was taken in a country that was struck by terrible terror acts,I hope it is compatible determined look to lead for peace, good image. Pnina Link to comment

antonino puppi 0 Posted October 14, 2005 controlled depth, composition (diagonal) and light, does not require any artificial work just your camera and your idea. Link to comment
tereay 0 Posted January 25, 2007 I think this is a very powerful capture, with perfect composition and dof. Simply great, Alec! Link to comment
