This shot is pretty good. I like the DOF and the slight blur of motion in his foot. I also like the crop.
Chosen, because of composition and COLORS...

Love the eyes! Wonderful composition in a fast action photo!
Dead-bang focus on the helmet, and nice feeling of motion. FOOTBALL, now? Oy.
Good framing and seeing some face detail adds to the shot.
Like this one the best of the three, probably because of the composition.
Thanks for your feedback, HOWARD: I suspect that you haven't shot Friday night high school football before. Thanks for your comment nevertheless. JULIO: Mucho gracias, Julio. CHRISTOPHER: Thanks, Chris. Yeah, that's the season, eh? KEN: Thanks for your feedback, Doc. PNINA: Appreciate your feedback, Pnina. JAYME: Thanks. Glad you like it, Jayme. COLIN: Does that mean you also watch American football? Wilson ^_^

Wils - when I look at all of the football shots (so far?) in this folder, I think that this one stands out the most. My eye is drawn to the shots of individual players over team shots ... and this one really gives the impression of being a stopped action. But what I like best is that you can see his eyes. Makes it a tiny bit more intimate. I like your sports work, Wilson!
"Rounding Corner." available light shooting in extreme lowlight stadium. Mariner HS Chhaylee Khat (#36) carries the ball in the forth quarter against Kamiak HS. Marauders beat Knights 36-7 in one of many Friday night 4-A WESCO games this season.
