shambhala 0 Posted October 4, 2005 I've got no question to ask - only congratulate you for this oustanding portrait! Shame you cut the tip of the hat though but that's a minor detail. This man has a truly great face and you've achieved great results! Link to comment
shambhala 0 Posted October 4, 2005 PS - The idiot who gave you a 4/4 for this awesome picture should stay away from us! I'm sure his own work is sparse and mediocre... Link to comment
armindo_lopes 1 Posted October 4, 2005 Very good portrait. Sharp and smooth at same time. Tones and light are very nice. Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted October 4, 2005 Howard, nice highlight and shadow detail with good shallow d.o.f. to separate him from environment. I'd say it'll be worthwhile to clean up the transition area a bit more where the PS-blurred background meets the sharp subject in forground. Other than that, pretty solid. ^_^ Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted October 4, 2005 WOW! Love it... 7/7 plus!!! But of course there are not letting me rate this..... And the rest of the story is.... Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted October 5, 2005 You can rate, you just can't use a 7! Silly Photo.net. Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted October 5, 2005 The bokeh is very nice and the detail in the subject is very good. Only nit would be the same thing Wilson mentioned. Other than that, well done, Howard! Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted October 5, 2005 Don't be fooled by appearances. He is very articulate and I suspect highly educated. In fact, he is President of a local group called Bikers Against Child Abuse with county and state support. I also resubmitted the image without PS blur. Link to comment
alexandra rauh 0 Posted October 6, 2005 Now I have the story.Wonderful true face, the way You opened his face, with the light and the look.great portrait. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted October 8, 2005 Very nice Howard. The severe lighting adds character in this situation. After a few years of my own husband being a "Biker", I find that a vast majority of the bikers are professional people. It must be their "risk taker" spirit that draws them to riding. A few years back, our town hosted our state's yearly HOG rally. I did a small B&W portfolio of the event. It was fun. The people were all interesting. Link to comment
bradkim 8 Posted October 10, 2005 Excellent portrait, Howard.... I like the details in shadow area, especially around the eyes. Link to comment
