robidooo 0 Posted November 5, 2005 It seems to me that the shutter speed was too slow. I guess increasing the iso would have helped. Otherwise, I find it a little busy, as there is too much stuff directly behind the man. Link to comment

jam50 0 Posted November 5, 2005 The shutter speed looks fine to me (seems the chickens would have shown streaking if it was a shutter issue). But it does look a little overexposed and a little soft overall, maybe the aperture was a little too wide open to allow the exposure, also resulting in a very shallow DOF hence the softness. Who knows, like you say it was a long time ago. I don't find it busy at all; the gentleman's shirt stands out nicely from the only item directly behind him (the basket) and it's composed very well. It could be argued that a tighter crop to eliminate some of the foreground and background at the top might improve it, or angled up to include more of the items at the top, but I think it's a great documentary shot.
