Been here many times and wanted to try this. Finally did it. 8

vertical images stitched together to form a panorama to do it

justice. Enjoy!

Alec, that a beautiful place, and I like the way the clouds are arranged behind the temple, like adding yet another background to it.

The panorama stiching skills impress me, since my few attempts were all ending up in a disaster, lately.

The fact is... do you really want to show the tables, here? They give the viewer a "being there" feeling, but, on the other side, the contrast of old and new does not give justice to the beauty of Tanah Lot.

Gaetan, Bilal appreciate the kind comments. Yes, Bilal I want to take you back again to the place we visited in Bali, just as it is, sipping our coconut juice and admiring the awesome rush of waves during the low tide before the temple is again enveloped in waters.

Salvatore, yes, it takes patience and time to get the colors right to balance each individual image. This is a 180% angle view of Tanah Lot. The actual combined 8 images is 188mb jpeg. That's why it's still tack sharp after downsizing to 400+kb here. Just love the details on the shore with those people walking about.

I can actually crop it to delete both sides thus showing Tanah Lot in all it's glory. Thanks for the mention.

Excellent image of an exotic locale. But for your superb tailoring job, we would not have been able to appreciate the beauty of the place properly. Well-done,Alec.

My computer has been down (BIOS problems) and I am not posting/commenting much until I get it back but I borrowed a connection and had to stop by here again. Merging eight frames makes this magnificent - thanks for sharing it with us. Regards.
