poutnik 1 Posted October 2, 2005 The photograph is very, very beautiful. If they had a way to clean the water in ancient Rome, it must have looked something like that (except of some elements :-) ... Though I am not sure it belongs to where it was photographed (the buildings with their style...) Jiri Link to comment

john falkenstine 1 Posted October 2, 2005 Jiri: Those who had the wealth in Rome usually replaced water in their swimming pools continuously (But had to pay for it to the Rome Water Board). There is a netsite somewhere that explains it in detail. The Rome water system functioned better than the water system in many modern cities... Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 3, 2005 Very nice photo, I especially like the composition. My only negative is that I don't like the look of the sky. If I had to guess..I would say that your sky was mostly blown out, and you tried to compensate for it by using the shadow/highlight function in PS:) I say that because I have done the same thing...and was not pleased with the results. Really though..it is a nice looking photo. Link to comment
chriss1 2 Posted October 3, 2005 San Simeon, Hearst Palace? I like greek architecture a lot, maybe the sky is not as clear as would be in sunny California. Best wishes Link to comment
tomhallphotographycom 0 Posted October 3, 2005 Yep that place :). Thanks guys for commenting on the image. It was taken at the end of the day around 5 just before closing. We were actually the last group to visit the place that day. Was worth it though. Tom Link to comment
petescheu 0 Posted October 14, 2005 Tom- I was actually just there this past weekend. Talk about an amazing place to live. I was looking for a good angle to capture the pool too, you did it very nicely. Link to comment
