gbc 0 Posted October 3, 2005 Alec... a shot like this would be ideal for a symmetry play. The pillar on the left is acceptable, but for the shine - then so not good for exposing detail. The pillar details could be the subject of a seperate capture with better lighting. In fact, a short photo-documentary could be built around this scenario. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted October 4, 2005 Hi Gul, I'm actually mildly surprised by the sheen even though I didn't use a flash. The heavy lacquer they used on the innate wooden carvings seem to come out just as I see it. Tack sharp too considering the slow speed. Perhaps due to the 14mm wide-angle lens. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 4, 2005 Fine details with lots of intricate pieces to explore. Perhaps, stopping down by -2/3ev may help to tame the highlights. But, as it is, the image is already publishable. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 6, 2005 Alec, nicly composed ( a bit too centered the main part)and good colors, the washed out lights on the columns is quit distracting, and takes the eye from the scene, especially to the left hs. column. I wish I could be there, as I like these places very much . Pnina Link to comment
