zlm 0 Posted October 4, 2005 I don't expect high originality points here, but I really liked the look of this particular shot. I would love to hear any advice on how to make this better, thanks! Link to comment
billkantor 0 Posted October 4, 2005 Zack, You asked how to improve it... Well, the moving water is a bit blown out on my screen. Perhaps a shorter exposure might have left some detail there. Perhaps maybe you could have dropped the exposure 1/2 stop or so to leave some more detail there. I might try pumping up the saturation to make the greens snap a bit more. (Perhaps this issue is my monitor.) I also find the wide open space of the bottom right creates an unbalanced feeling. This is exacerbated by the white in the lower right corner which draws my eye. Not much you can do now but perhaps with more searching in the field... It's a good effort though and I like it nonetheless. Link to comment
min 0 Posted October 8, 2005 You know, this shot's been done a million time, but this is such a VERY GOOD one even so. Just because a shot's been done before doesn't make this any less worthy. The details and colors of the moss is exceptional. Is the water slightly blown? Sure, but I think it adds to that soft dreamy misty feel. Aesthetically speaking, this rocks! Link to comment
