susan stone 0 Posted October 3, 2005 I really like the simplicity of your composition, it's well seen and exposed, it has a "grace" about it that I find appealing. Of the other photos you've posted I really like the boardwalk image also. Link to comment

katzpjs 50 Posted January 26, 2006 Nice, simple and pretty. Have you considered using some framing around your images to provide them some contrast from the stark, white background that PN uses? I think doing so works wonders for an image. Link to comment
Charles_Webster 226 Posted January 26, 2006 I appreciate your comment. I haven't given any thought to "framing" my pictures for presentation here. I mat and frame my own prints, so the photos here are just down-rez'd versions. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll mess about with it and see what I think. I'm glad you like the photo, it's one of my favorites. Link to comment

wp 0 Posted October 12, 2007 This is a very well seen image. The subject is great/reflections are great/good compostion also. I see the water was very coporative and calm. I also see that you shot this at the golden hour(early morning or sunset). I would sharpen up this a bit if it were mine. If you have photoshop; use the filter (sharpen) select "un-sharpen Mask" and then you can adjust the sharpness. Not me or the computer. I would try setting the sharpness at 1.5, and the threshold at 1. I have a image similar in B&W but, its not posted on this site, its on another. Take Care Weston Link to comment
Charles_Webster 226 Posted October 13, 2007 Thanks Weston, Yes, this could benefit from some judicious sharpening. This was posted before I knew that virtually everything needs some sharpening. The 12 X 18 print hanging on my wall has been sharpened. I seldom go back and change and repost pictures here, so please don't become upset, as one member did, when I don't rush out and implement your suggestions. I take everyone's advice, filter it through my own experience, and apply it to succeeding photos. I appreciate your advice and comments on my pictures. Link to comment
