Blue serenity

ian cameron

An hour before sunrise at the edge of lake Coniston in the lake district, Cumbria. The water is mirror smooth and the soft lilac and blue of twilight is exaggerated by the reciprocity of Velvia. A quirk of film that can be richly exploited. Please feel free to visit my website Timecatcher is once again active. Transient Light and Timecatcher.

Ian - i love the soft color palette present here. any reason why the pink isn't as apparent above the mountain as it appears in the reflection? the conditions that morning appear very similar to some fantastic conditions i recently tried to take advantage of. photographing a scene like this sure is a great way to start the day.
