salvatore.mele 1 Posted September 29, 2005 I would appreciate if you could compare this version with the alternative (wider and slightly colder) one here Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted September 29, 2005 Stromboli. An active volcano which guided for millennia, with its night eruptions, sailors of the Mediterranean: a true natural lighthouse. Today, clad in its smoke, had still a strong aura of mystery while we approached it, unfortunatly under engine and not under sail. Your comments and criticism (and rates) on this or any other of my sailing images is warmly welcome! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 29, 2005 It's an awesome image and I don't have a definite preference for one. Real nice composition. Only complaint is that I see noise in the image and wonder if it's a bad scan? Link to comment
daily_photograph 0 Posted September 30, 2005 For this film I prefer the backward rows :-)) Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted October 4, 2005 Thai, I think I never got the hand on Coolscan V ED, I keep getting bad seas and skies... Daily, why the back row? Fear of getting wet? Actually, more than wet, we got miserably dusty and had to perform major boat-cleaning operations after a couple of eruptions showered us in ashes. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 1, 2006 I never knew that Stromboli was a volcanic mountain. In the US, it more commonly refers to a stuffed bread dough served with tomato sauce. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted February 1, 2006 Keith, knowing how the dough got that name is a challenge...! Link to comment
