Table on the Wharf

LenMarriott

While waiting for "Intermission" at the King's Wharf Theater this abandoned table & chairs caught my eye. In the background is Penetanguishine Harbour, Georgian Bay. Taken with colour film, there was no doubt in my mind from the outset that this shot would end up B&W. Tripod mounted @ f16, Auto exposure. PS manipulation included Shadow\highlight (highlight only) adjustment (to reveal detail in the sky area), slight cropping and USM. Converted to B&W via Channel Mixer & 100% blue filter which seemed to provide the best rendition. Best, LM.

Some shots you plan for, others are subjects of opportunity. This

one is the latter. Taken at about sunset on a cloudy summer

evening. The wrought iron railing and similarly constructed table &

chairs just seemed to naturally go together. No manipulation or

rearrangement of the table & chairs was done. This is just how I

found them. Your thoughts\observations would be most welcomed.

Best, LM.

Yitz, By golly I think you're right! Thanks for stopping by with your comment. A camera position a little left or right might have avoided that situation. Best, LM.
