It's not a very pleasant shot to look at. But alas, it's the reality. How often animals (and not only animal but also children) will be forced like this, to do to what their bosses like that they do. If I had the change I would be able to wring that guy his neck. I'm sorry but I'm a very hot-blooded woman. Ggrrrr

That cat's fixin' to rip that guy a new a**hole! Very funny shot to me (who can tell by the cat's feet that he is not YET really annoyed!). Nice one, Marc!

I've seen this photo a substantial number of times, and each time thought 'I'll tell Marc just how perfect it is for a *small photo*, but maybe it isn't a *small photo* at all.

 

The colors of the shirt and the cat work wonderfully.

 

Placing the cat and the arm just so they form a sort of 'L' shape, but not isolating them at the corner of the frame help the composition greatly.

 

The cat's ears, flattened as they are by his/her irritation tell a story, but as 'Lee Park' says above, the feet show that the cat's not ready to punish the holder just yet.

 

It's really quite an expressive photo with good composition, and most of all it works extremely well as a color photo. For those who claim they 'don't travel' or 'don't get out' and that's an excuse why they can't take world class photos, they only have to take a gander at this one and understand that such is just 'excuse making'
