apotheker 0 Posted September 26, 2005 I like the compositional qualities of he image & the sense it gives me of waiting. There are some elements in the softness of focus which work for me however I find a need for some component to be in sharper focus. Just some thoughts... Link to comment

isaac madera 1 Posted December 10, 2005 The focus is an issue but I'm certain it was just a mistake which I'm sure you'll catch next time. Lets look past that for a moment, the image is well frammed. It is also very eye catching. The textures really go togeather here. Aside from the minor technical issues, this was very well done. May I encourage you to experiment with different levels of contrast as well? I really think this would be more striking if the contrast was up just a notch. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 5, 2006 I like the sort of ambiguous feel to this photograph. Even though we know it is a recent photograph, it could very easily be from decades past. My thinking on what seems to be the "focus issue" here is this: For me, an image of this type does not have to be perfectly focused, or have a central focal point, in order to establish a sense of time, place, mood or atmosphere. This image for me is a bit dream-like, and imparts a sense of a place perhaps once-visited. And thank goodness you didn't have someone sitting in either of the chairs!! This is extremely well done. Guest Guest Posted May 1, 2009 Three years after first viewing this photograph, I'm still looking at it. I think it's one of your best, and it maintains its haunting look. Link to comment
