lauriee 0 Posted September 25, 2005 I was asked to take some pictures of a friends pride and joy...I'd never tried to photograph pets...WHAT A CHALLANGE! :-) Any suggestions?? Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 25, 2005 Judging from my vast experience trying to photograph my own dog - you will need 27 assistants, a heaping pile of distractionary toys, an unlimited supply of treats, a freakish enjoyment of the phrase "stay, dammit!" and the yellow pages for the name of a good animal photographer. But it looks like you're off to a good start here - owner must have been standing there doing something attention-worthy? :) I like the dog's look of attention, the light and color is very nice, but I would try having the owner get a bit lower so they're not so obviously looking up - or, change your angle to get more of a side view than you have here. But this is nicely done :) Link to comment
lauriee 0 Posted September 25, 2005 Tooooo FUNNY!! You are absolutely right! After about thirty minutes of me trying to corral them and make them "stay dammit" (although "dammit" might have been the least abrasive of the words I used!) My friend brought out some cheese! Now she is only 4'9" so she couldn't have gotten too much lower (sorry Ann Marie!) however I am 5'11" and was sitting on the ground! haha...After the shot was taken I secretly wanted to eat the cheese myself and run away saying "nanny nanny boo boo"! LOL...Thanks for the advice. (Now where did I put the yellow pages!?!?!) Link to comment
