bentes_world 0 Posted September 24, 2005 I'm back where I was when I started uploading to PN about nearly 3 years ago .... shooting flowers again. I know it's not original but I like doing them. Some things have changed ... specially the place I 'shoot' in now. It's a dirty old barn with some dirty windows and a door where the light flows in by high noon. There is a big tree right outside casting a play of light and shadows if I'm lucky. I think I was lucky today. Of course I have several versions - color, desaturated color, sepia, color+desaturated sepia and etc. - but for a start I prefer to show the BW. Comments very appreciated. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 25, 2005 classic is what I thought when I saw the thumbnail. However you converted this, I like what you have done. I think you did get some nice light. Did you dodge or burn any of it? Link to comment

colin carron 58,916 Posted September 25, 2005 Very nice light though I am always a bit doubtful about flowers in b&w. Good composition and textures - the old wood is nice. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted September 28, 2005 Bent, I like the light, dim but the right parts are nicely lighted. The classical arrangement works as well! Pnina Link to comment
pjmeade 12 Posted December 3, 2005 This is a wonderful composition. The lighting is wonderful and captures the textures perfectly. I like the combination of lustrous fruit with the flowers. Very best wishes. Peter Link to comment

giuseppe_miriello1 0 Posted August 10, 2006 Hi Bente... i was wandering through your portfolio and i found that you and i have similar tastes in matter of still life... i particularly loved this image... mostly becouse its b/w conversion is very well done and rendered a great amount of details... moreover there is a lovely lateral light, very soft and natural, and also the bouquet is full and well assorted... yes it might be a classical, but it is a very well executed one and worth of a big high quality print, and hanged on a wall...
