Riding at the back-lane of Hoi An, Vietnam

It was a hot afternoon with very little cloud. The harsh lighting was just right to get the shadows. The hat is actually not overexposed, it's just plain light yellow. Histogram reading is perfect. Really a cool place for photographers.

I can almost feel the sun , Alec, this is a very strong and vibrant shot. One minor nit , I might have liked a little more space under the bike...otherwise , great !

Well Frank, I have other interesting close ups like this old couple with a great sense of balance on their rickity old bicycle.

i really liked this shot. the colors, the texture, the sky, the decaying house, the cyclist just at the right spot with the old conical hat, there's so much to love about this picture. its only let down (from being perfect) by the harsh light, which of course is not up to you.

 

Hey the old couple is really great too. if only the wheel was complete.... though it *can* be complated :)

You should have came with us Bilal. A very interesting place to shoot. great natural colors, not cosmetically treated like in urban developed areas

Excellent capture Alec .. the yellow of the houses and the blue of the sky blend very nicely with the human presence !
