I love the colour in his eye and the details of the eyelashes and eyebrow with the dof blurring the sideburn and ear. Nice focus Michael.

Thank you, all. My client had beautiful startling eyes to begin with and I pretty much left the eye alone, working on the rest of the image to add further impact. To be honest, I did not hold much hope for getting such clarity and spot-on DOF when I took the shot. It was handheld, on macro mode and my hand was shaking (too much coffee??)... took a burst of three - the other two were blurred, but this one turned out to be a beauty :) Gotta love burst mode! ;) M

ps... Teck... give it a go (or several). It was great fun. Besides, with the industry you work in, I'm thinking you will have no shortage of great models, male and female :)

Another great image, Michael.  Your composition on this one is spot on, keeping the model's eye at the intersection of the upper and right third in the image.  The colour of your client's eyes is striking, enhancing the overall feel of the image.  I want to have a conversation with this individual.  Nice work.

Thanks, Paul... shot in 2005... ah, the momories of first starting out in photography...  miss that sense of 'newness' to some degree...
