Great colors -- it says "autumn" throughout. It may be my eyes, but I wish the image was a bit sharper overall. It seems a bit soft on the edges and veins of the leaves, and likewise in the patterns in the rocks (esp. the red rock to the left). Or is it me?

Very nice work with striking color and an interesting variety of material and texture. I have to admit, I was surprised to see that you paired an $8000 camera with a $225 lens... if you enjoy doing these close-up shots, I suggest you invest in a macro lens for convenience and ultimate sharpness. Not that I think the lens hurt your shot here...

Good Point, Philip. A good Canon macro lens will be on my want list as soon as I stop sputtering and gasping from buying my camera...
