keenimages 0 Posted September 18, 2005 Photography is very nice but you did a small mistake on composition. i sent cropped image to you.. Best of luck. 6/6. Link to comment
will king 0 Posted September 18, 2005 I prefer the image as it is. Cropping the top off makes it less interesting. The clouds are beautiful and are better left in the photo. Nice work. Link to comment
jefwong 0 Posted September 18, 2005 I also agreed that the horizon is to central, shift it downwards would preserve the beautiful sky. Link to comment
will king 0 Posted September 18, 2005 Who cares if the horizon is in the middle. If you crop the top, you would lose the beautiful clouds, if you crop the bottom, you would lose the beautiful reflection of the sun on the water. Many people would compromise the full beauty of a photo to be "techincally" right. I do admit there are a lot of photos that need help, including mine, since I'm a beginner, but not this photo. manolis1 0 Posted September 19, 2005 First of all I want to thank all of you Kiran,William and Wong for taking your time to comment my photo. Kiran, thanks for the attachment. I really appreciate that you worked on my photo. I'm very well informed about the composition rule you talk about which I tried to apply on this photo as much as I could without "killing" the beauty of the cloudy sky and the sun reflection on the sea (as William mention as well). My good fellows sometime it is good to "break" the rules. And at last... if you see more carefully this photo you'll see that the horizon is not dead in the center. The sea covers more area of the photo than the sky. Thanks again. Link to comment
keenimages 0 Posted September 19, 2005 William King,Wong Jeffrey, discuss about this, william king like sky i make it sky scape,i sent image with this......but Emmanouil Vitalakis dont want killing the photograph he want to reflection of the sun,sky scape... ok. Emmanouil Vitalakis satisfaction is more important break the rule think different Link to comment
keenimages 0 Posted September 19, 2005 William King reflection is not a matter of this photograph, that is last option in this photograph what u frist see (ship) after goes to your eye via sky to sun, not reflection, So, reflection is not toooooo more importance of this photograph, but little bit important. 2nd option if u see frist sun u r eye goes to via sky to ship not reflection regards Link to comment
manolis1 0 Posted September 19, 2005 Kiran, I want to thank you for one more time for working on my photo. I like your second attachment more than your first one... even than mine. Your second cropped photo keeps all the elements that make this photo interesting plus the boat catch the attention of the viewer right away...driving him to the sun (as you mentioned). Your participation was very useful. Thanks again. Link to comment
