Craning For Position**

Craning for Position is a 'street photo' in which geometry plays a

I never have written an accolate to a high rater before, but I am now.

This is one of my recent finer photographs -- it incorporates geometry and perfect timing all at once, with the men's arms becoming extensions of the frameworks of their cages and the cranes in/on which they stand., and not only that, they have complementary colors -- did you notice that?

The man on the orange boom has an orange shirt -- the man on the blue crane has a dark blue outfit, for perfect color coordination.

I couldn't have planned it better.

In reality, as these men moved their cranes from up, down, sideways, far apart, close together, overlapping, I was aware enough to 'catch' this exquisite moment, but others seem to think it was not quite so magical as I felt it.

But somehow Bob, you saw it, and for that I thank you -- I have admired your photography for some time -- you have an eye for timing and appreciate it.

This is a photograph not only of geometry, but of timing.
