sondra kick 0 Posted September 13, 2005 Photo was taken in the Amish country of Pennsylvania. All comments are welcome. Cheers, Sondra Link to comment
marco_ruggiero 0 Posted September 13, 2005 Beautiful composition and the sepia tone certainly enhances the image. The interaction of the family is exquisite. Thanks. Link to comment
afs760bf 0 Posted September 13, 2005 Wonderful shot. The Amish are not fond of having their pictures taken. I lived in Southern Maryland for a while and there were a lot of Amish. My greatest missed photo opportunity (didn't have a camera) was a shot of one of these pulled up to a gas pump, and the Amish gentleman was filling a tank in the back of the buggy. They won't use cars for transportation, but they will use machinery to run their farms (at least some of them will). Interesting culture. Great picture, and treatment with the sepia. Cheers. jim kerr 0 Posted September 13, 2005 Sondra, Very well done. I would have thought this couple would have been looking at you, but they seem to be taking no note of you as you apparrently went by. You sure got alot of great detail.....Nearly collided with one of these at dusk a few years ago. Whew, it was close....Jim Link to comment
volker1 0 Posted September 14, 2005 I have often seen these people and never taken a picture out of respect to their beliefs. But this is so wonderful that I regret now. And the sepiatones are the adequate way of showing this living relic of the past. Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted September 14, 2005 What a wonderful image Sondra. It's magnificent in it's entirety and the expression on the faces of the couple in the coach is so touching that I can't stop watching them. You made a world shot Sondra. If they should know.... Link to comment
warren williams 0 Posted September 15, 2005 Wow. Sondra, this is great and I think the sepia toining adds so much more to the mood. Very eye-catching and different indeed. Warm regards. Warren Link to comment

hot74 0 Posted September 18, 2005 The expressions.. Hard to notice but as if they are so far away, so detached.. On a road to where but as if from nowhere.. Link to comment

susan stone 0 Posted September 30, 2005 Oh my gosh, how did I miss this image.....it's so wonderful?! Your use of sepia is absolutely perfect for this composition, it turns the clock back a hundred years. The couple look like they're right out of a Rockwell painting, so appealing. An outstanding capture, way to go girl! Link to comment
