Wonderful shot. The Amish are not fond of having their pictures taken. I lived in Southern Maryland for a while and there were a lot of Amish. My greatest missed photo opportunity (didn't have a camera) was a shot of one of these pulled up to a gas pump, and the Amish gentleman was filling a tank in the back of the buggy. They won't use cars for transportation, but they will use machinery to run their farms (at least some of them will). Interesting culture. Great picture, and treatment with the sepia. Cheers.

Sondra, Very well done. I would have thought this couple would have been looking at you, but they seem to be taking no note of you as you apparrently went by. You sure got alot of great detail.....Nearly collided with one of these at dusk a few years ago. Whew, it was close....Jim

I have often seen these people and never taken a picture out of respect to their beliefs. But this is so wonderful that I regret now. And the sepiatones are the adequate way of showing this living relic of the past.

What a wonderful image Sondra. It's magnificent in it's entirety and the expression on the faces of the couple in the coach is so touching that I can't stop watching them. You made a world shot Sondra. If they should know....

Wow. Sondra, this is great and I think the sepia toining adds so much more to the mood. Very eye-catching and different indeed.

Warm regards.

Good glimps to a clan of people, that choose to live in the past. Very nice rendering Sondra, and sepia works well. Pnina

The expressions.. Hard to notice but as if they are so far away, so detached.. On a road to where but as if from nowhere..

Smiply a wonderful picture, very clear and full of detail. I'm not one for B&W or sepia, but it fit's perfect here. Bill

Oh my gosh, how did I miss this image.....it's so wonderful?! Your use of sepia is absolutely perfect for this composition, it turns the clock back a hundred years. The couple look like they're right out of a Rockwell painting, so appealing. An outstanding capture, way to go girl!
