Penan Blowpiper

From a visit to Borneo where we spent one week with the Penan people.

Good color in this shot. Seems it ought to be the tiniest bit sharper, but maybe not as it appears to have been a fairly dark scene. You have two great tools in the 828 and 20D. Keep shooting and please share more of your interesting images with us. This photo makes me think of National Geographic, so you must be doing it right.

This was done with the 828.I did not have the cannon then.It should have been sharper but I was relatively new to photography at the time and did not anticipate the 99.5% humidity.I had all sorts of trouble with the camera because of the heat and humidity.Next time I will be better prepared.Thank you for the comment.

where was this?

This was taken in Borneo,the rainforests of Mulu.We stayed with the Penan people about one and a half hours canoe ride up the old headhunters river.

Sounds great, I was in sabah and the mainland.

 

love it, the people were great.
