stephen_masiello 0 Posted July 26, 2006 Saw this in the no words thread and really liked it. I see trees so I assume you are on the ground. I only say this because normally you ony get a sight and angle like this from a plane or mountain top. Anyway that doesn't really matter. With the shot like this, the top dark blanket gives it an ominous feel. If it were cropped below that line it would be a bit more tranquil. Depending on the mood you're going for, either way works. Shots like this are often once in a lifetime so even if they're not perfect it's not like you can control the subject very much. But in this case you took what was presented to you and made a gerat photo from it. Well done and I like the rest of your portfolio as well. Good use of color. Link to comment
photogbob 0 Posted August 8, 2006 Very dramatic. Reminds me of my years in Kansas. Beautiful tonal range and composition. Well done Susan! Link to comment
giorgio.luciano 0 Posted August 13, 2006 It' s simply impressive ! I love cluds photo and I would like a poster like this in my wall ! Great work. The toning is perfect. I found the tree on the right a bit distracting but I guess it's not so simple to catch a sky like this Link to comment
