Canoe

Hey! I have that shot somewhere too! I always like the shots that include the canoe because they give a sense of being there. Perhaps try holding the camera down low, in your lap, to get the bow as well as the surrounding landscape. It can be difficult at first because you can't tell exactly how you are composing, but you'll catch on quickly. A polarizing filter can also be used to cut the reflections in the water which sometimes can be too bright and draw the eye away from the landscape.

Hi Randy, thanks for the tip about the lap! I'll try that! I took off the polarizer on this shot because I wanted the reflections. Did you think reflections subtracted from the image? I kind of like them!
