Guy With Gear

I'm not sure what kind of guy your younger sister likes from your comment, based on this photo, as this guy was really pretty nice and gentle -- just dressed up in 'gear'.

It is a well-known phenomenon among women, and not so well known among 'nice guys' that many women really prefer 'dangerous' guys, and as one commentator repeatedly teaches his young male students -- a large percentage of young women will go out with Mr. Nice Guy for a date, eat a sumptuous meal with drinks, yawn and say she has to go home, then, after she pecks the guy on the cheek and says she has to get up early the next morning, actually changes into her disco gear and goes out hunting for a guy dressed in leather to spend at least part of the night with.

The 'Mr. Nice Guys' of this world are not usually aware of this phenomenon, but the leather-clad bikers surely are, as they reap the whirlwind of late-night seekers.

While maybe not universal in America, this phenomenon is more particular to America than other countries, and may partly be a product of the emancipation of women -- in countries where a woman views her place as the maker of the home and family (even if she is a lawyer, doctor, scientific researcher, etc.), such phenomena are more rare.

Actually, I suspect this guy is a really tender guy, at odds I think with the leather and rings of his 'gear', as he was very nice about having his photo taken and most pleasant -- so I think this was just costumery.

LOL thanks for the sociology lesson! Actually my sister dates very nice guys that look very much like your subject. Tough on the outside but quite sweet on the inside! (Maybe a bit moody now and then...)
