Guest Guest Posted September 9, 2005 Beautiful model, interesting crop and composition but not sure of the grain look. Maybe I need to look at her...er it more Alexis www.alexisneel.com Link to comment
robertfarnham 0 Posted September 10, 2005 Hmm. 2s and 3s...I can only attribute that to the grain, and the fact that many digiheads here have no remembrance of film and grain...not that this is real grain. Here's a straight from camera comparison...I know my preference...what's yours? And if you leave a 2, or 2 2s for that matter, open your mouth and explain why, please. Link to comment
steve ward 0 Posted September 10, 2005 2s are usually left by people with their head up their (where you can't take their picture). both the b&w and the grain make this image more interesting Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 10, 2005 Now seeing the color and looking at the shot a bit more, I feel better to comment more. I think initially, although it didn't register, is that there's a bit too much contrast, and its a little too open. Have you played with lowering the contrast about a grade, darkening about 1/2 stop and darkening the left area some more? And I'm getting used to the grain on this shot. Not that there's anything wrong with grain, however its seeming harsh, and maybe the contrast change will fix that. just my $.02 Link to comment
pbajzek 0 Posted September 10, 2005 The grain is lovely, as is the lighting. It seems you've done some really productive work with this model! Link to comment
cdaunis 0 Posted September 14, 2005 I don't know if this is the last image in this folder of Alexandria, but I wanted to say your work with her is utterly amazing. I am captivated by your treatment of her body, the light, and your compositions. I have returned many times to these images to wonder, in awe, at how God or the force of nature made women so divine. My deepest congratulations to you and your model. Link to comment
