Bright interval on the lake (1)

Interesting tonality changes and boundries.

I think, Henri, that I like this first version the best. The completely dark cloud at the top is a great contrast to the bright rays shining down on the boat. The other two versions have some, but not enough, detail in the top dark cloud. If you're going to have detail, make it distinct and for a reason. This doesn't have detail, just in that cloud, but the water below and rays of sun, as well as the bright clouds are great. Does that help? :-)

Thank you Lou Ann for this valuation. Finally, I think this is this one I like the best also, in spite of the irrealist darkness of the cloud. It is irrealist for the eye, but not inevitably for the mind.
