I dont get it, how have you done it...? I mean: it's obvious you used a long exposition for the foreground, but in the background the sun is like it were a usual shot, no long-exposed... If this image is not a composite of two images, could you please tell this ignorant photographer how to achieve such a beautiful image? ^-^

Hi Nestor, The original file name for this shot is CRW_8777.CRW. I have other two images took 2 minutes before and after. It was 2 minutes exposure; the sun was more than half below the horizon and only in the frame for less than a minute. According to histogram, the one in the middle got more information. I hope I can figure out how to merge 2 shots to save the money for Grad ND, but not able to do that yet. It's one shot, the only thing I did after the conversion was using Neat Image to remove the noise and apply USM by 0.5 pixel for the web version. Just bought a book by John Hedgecoe - The new manual of photography. The ignorant photographer title is more proper for me. Regards, Yongbo

This is what I did for the RAW conversion (Photoshop CS2):

Temperature: 2700

Tint: 0

Exposure: -0.25

Shadows: 2

Brightness: 50

Contrast: +25

Saturation: +50

Shadow Tint: 0

Red Hue: +100

Red Saturation: 0

Green Hue: -10

Green Saturation: 0

Blue Hue: -10

Blue Saturation: -50

Great looking image, Yongbo. Has a very surreal quality to it , which I like. Yes, the new 5D sounds just about right for me at this point. Looking forward to it.
