Oh my gosh the size of that foot is amazing. We just had a little girl ourselves 2 weeks ago and I could not imagine going through all that and losing a child. My prayers will be with her parents. Beautiful picture and presentation

Hey, that was very nicely seen! Amazing photo and very nice moment. The hand in the photo makes it possible to clue in on the tiny size of the foot.

Perhaps the photo could be cropped a little so the foot is relatively larger?

This looks like ambient light, which is really tricky!

My best wishes to the parents and the child.

Just a quick note, I feel that this image has significant 'documentary' impact. I tried to tell a story here and hence did not zoom into Ruby's foot too much. I also wanted to include her environment (and her dad's hand) to highlight just how small and fragile she was. M

J, my thanks. I've processed many images in my year of photography, but this image remains the most powerful visual story to date. In hindsight, I would have liked to have taken this image a day earlier as there were still photos of Ruby's twin sister (who sadly did not survive) stuck on the wall next to the religious imagery. I think that would have told a more complete story for Ruby's parents... M
