patrickjacobson 0 Posted September 7, 2005 This is the uncropped version of Najaden 2005. See the cropped version here, http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=3704916 Which one works best do you think? Im not sure myself so ill let you guys and girls here decide with your ratings. Najaden is an old ship and lies side by side with Halmstad Castle (though completely covered in fog here). Comments are most welcome! =) Regards, Patrick Jacobson Link to comment

jon thornton 0 Posted September 7, 2005 Excellent shot!I prefer this image to the cropped one. When I look at this shot, I imagine being lost at sea. I also wonder if I blink my eyes, whether the ship will completely dissapear into the fog. When I look at the cropped image however, my imagination is completely uninspired. The cropped image doesn't include enough atmosphere to be atmospheric! Link to comment
patrickjacobson 0 Posted September 7, 2005 Big thanks to everyone that has voted and commented and a even bigger thank you to Jon for being honest! I also thought the other one is abit to tight. Thank you once again Cheers Patrick J Link to comment
nirakara 0 Posted September 7, 2005 I love the entire ship in the mist series. I am just not able to pick a favorite. Each is beautiful in its own way. Love all your work, Please... shoot more of these and the sea. The allure of the ocean and the ships never fade. One problem is you make me wanna throw my portfolio away :-)Just curious, how early did you shoot these? you, you early bird *grunt*! Link to comment
patrickjacobson 0 Posted September 7, 2005 Thank you so much for your fine comments! =) Im really happy that you liked them all! I wasnt up early.. i think it was in the middle of the day. There were fog on the morning but got thicker and then later on it slowly vanished again. Might be because the city is a coast town and a river runs through it (the fog). Happened quite often that the fog stays almost all day (well atleast for a few hours). I hope to give you more shots of this boat or other sea shots! =) Thank you once again! nirakara 0 Posted September 9, 2005 That is really interesting! to get this kind of light and effect in the middle of the day! Well, something good to make up for those extreme long nights of our place huh! It is very nice of you to honor my request to take more ocean photos. Thank you! Link to comment
