sondra kick 0 Posted September 7, 2005 Ada, a beautiful image, the water in the harbor pulls you into the photo. Love the red rooftops, and the way the sailboats are on three sides of the photo. Well done, Sondra Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 7, 2005 It makes me want to stand on that little curved bridge (does it open up, then, for the boats?) and watch the water. I'm okay with the sea as long as I'm standing on dry ground....What a delightful looking place, and the red of the rooftops is so lovely with the blue sky and water, dearest Ada! Cheers! ada-ipenburg 0 Posted September 7, 2005 Thank you both for your kind words. Yes, this was a nice place to be. And the bridge goes open very regular to let the boats pass. So I warn you Lee, if you proceed yourself on the brigde look out where you place your feet. In my imagination I see you already do the splits.... O my, O my! LOL But it was a pity I couldn't come closer to the bridge. It has such a particular shape. I'll try to crop the image, to give all the attention to the bridge and the lady who walks there. Nice job for tomorrow evening. It's real bed time here. It was great to see you ladies, I going to dreamland now.... Greetings dear Sondra and Lee, Ada. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted September 7, 2005 Ooooh, pretty one, Ada. I love water and boats and so naturally find this one appealing, but this is definitely a step or two above the ordinary. --Lannie Link to comment

ada-ipenburg 0 Posted September 7, 2005 Yep, a nice postcard that's just what I had in my mind. This time no extra effort to work up a simple but very nice view of a beautiful old city till something mysterical, in spite of the fact I've noticed that unmanipulated and uncomplicated shots like this are less appreciated by the manority of the people. So I'm very glad you all like it nevertheless my friends. Greetings from Middelbrug, slightly overcasted, 23 degrees Celcius, Ada:) Link to comment
wim.ipenburg 0 Posted September 8, 2005 Strong in collor, sharpness and composition. You choosed the right moment of lightning! The bridge is very nice whith these half white wheels. Thanks for sharing this postcard! Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted September 8, 2005 Thank you both for commenting my postcard so very kind:) I was lucky indeed that some clouds just had covered the sun which was playing tricks on me and made it so difficult to make some good pictures of the narrow streets about 200 metres from this place. But it was a pity that I left by accident my 80-200 mm lens in the car on a parking place. I'm sure I would have catched a couple of great shots from only that beautiful bridge. Better luck next time! Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted September 11, 2005 Well, very beautiful landscape that makes one want to be there. I, too, like minimal manipulation photos, so very to my liking, this one. Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted September 11, 2005 I like it when you say that you have the feel you want to be at this place. It's a beautiful place indeed and so different from where you live, isn't it? All these red roofs and most of the time a cloudy sky and rainy days:-(. If I see your pictures I would like to be there for some time. The great sunsets and palmtrees you have in Singapore. Shall we swap for a couple of weeks? lol! Warm regards dear Cherlyn, Ada:))) Link to comment

Groetjes, Ada:) Link to comment
