Len,

I see you found the same wall I did. I like your lighting. What kind of day was it? The day I went last year was dark, overcast, and raining on and off.

I'm going back next weekend. But I'll be shooting a lot of B&W. Should be interesting.

i think focusing on the second one in would help this shot, but only a bit, well composed though

This wall is all that is left standing of an old building in Elora,

Ontario. Someone has breathed some life into it with these flowers &

boxes. The limestone construction is typical of buildings in the

area.

I like the idea and the composition, but the focal point seems just a tiny bit past the first flowers. Perhaps this is intentional, but I think I would have gone for the first flowers.

Hi Len, i had to have a look at your pics after your comment on my waterfront shot. This is the photograph from this folder i like best. As was said above i think it would be a better shot if DOF was larger, but its still a nice shot, i like it. Jim.

I like the composition; great spots of color in the drab stonework. I also like how just about the only area in focus is in the first window.

I think I would have circled to the left a bit, panned down, and shot with the uncropped edge of the windowsill in the lower right corner. also would have lost the bit of grass in the lower left corner.

My special effects are usually made in-camera, and are usually unplanned. :-(  Since my last comment on your photos I have reacquainted myself  with the different filters available in Photoshop.  I hadn't used them for may months (years?) and simply forgot about them.   Thanks to you I now have another avenue to explore in the time pit called Photoshop.  Thanks for digging for this oldie.  Best, LM.
