billfoster 0 Posted September 5, 2005 Panorama (three shots) of NYC from the Empire State Bldg. Not a great day, but I was only there for a layover! Link to comment
mpalomeque 0 Posted September 5, 2005 Shame we can't see it on a larger scale as it looks like a fantastic image...well done Manu Link to comment
stuart_brooks1 0 Posted September 5, 2005 I presume you've used some panarama software for this. What do you use? Nice shot. Thanks Stuart Brooks. Link to comment
billfoster 0 Posted September 5, 2005 I just use Photomerge, inside PS and Elements. The trick isn't the merging but the prep before. In particular, use a tripod or if I can't (I couldn't here) make sure I rotate the camera around a single point, not turn with body. Also, be sure to set exposure and white balance manually and lock it. Otherwise, auto settings will change and cause banding in skies which is quite difficult to correct. Link to comment
canonfodder 0 Posted September 27, 2005 Bill, this does was photographs should do and that's evoke memories. This shot fills me with the same wonder and melancholy that I had when I stood up there looking out and missing the WTC. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 15, 2005 I love all your panoramas, but this one is my favorite. I've never tried one, but you are inspiring! Link to comment
