mnigro 0 Posted August 31, 2005 I agree with Sergio. I like the vignet at the corners for dramatic emphasis. Link to comment

ghuczek 0 Posted September 1, 2005 Much better than anything I ever took in Kenya! Very dramatic, with terrific impact. The lighting doesn't quite work. It doesn't seem natural at all. The direction of the light on the clouds and on the elephants looks different. Was this the actual sky? The dark background trees also look unnatural. Hard/soft neutral grad or post-image work? Hard to tell, but either way, the effect creates a strange-looking split in image tonality right at the horizon line. 6/7 Link to comment
koval 0 Posted September 1, 2005 There was ND Grad 8 used which is the main cause of the "split" you seeing . The directions of light are natural indeed , what may seems otherwise is the difference in its intensity, we got used to seeing elements of highier light intensity on the top of the picture not at the bottom. jaybfellers 0 Posted September 2, 2005 Looks like these powerful elephants are heading for shelter from a looming storm. The spotty, difficult light on them coming through the clouds confirms it. Can't imagine your position to get this great shot-they're coming right at you. You transported me there! Thanks. Link to comment
markscholey 0 Posted September 21, 2005 A very good animal shot, mainly because you aren't a wildlife photgrapher, therefore you brought something different to the photo. It's an image packed with atmosphere rather than being a study of the animal itself. Good stuff. Link to comment
