I Cropped the fingers myself, because I wanted you to see his face, not focusing on fingers.I think his rings takes the attention of viewer to the rings. and I didn't want that.

Hi, I don't think you should have cut the fingers off. The eye is lead from the face down the arms to the hands...can we see the original? Great shot though. Best regards, matt

Very nice portrait; an intense ( and sad) face. A pity the fingers are cut out.

Very good, expressive portrai IMO. The fingers are not the issue for me, but what about a B&W ? I am not sure that color contributes here significantly to the photo.

In fact I like colors. You see most of my photos are in colors. This is one of my first photos. Now I think I should have manipulated colors in PS. At least for more contrast. Also not cut fingers!

This is a wonderful image. The expression is perfect. The crop of the rings is not an issue, that is not what the image is about. However, it would be nice to see the rings in a second image, just to compare. Very well done!

I guess this old darvish always sits here in Hafeziyeh ! i took a picture of him 2 weeks ago ( i think exactly same spot ! )

... even if they distract, it would be because one is lingering over the shot for a period of time. The face is very compelling, the portrait is so strong, that it would be nice to let our eyes move around the shot. Good work!

Because every one asked me for the fingers, I changed the photo with a photo of the old man including fingers.
