dens 4 Posted August 30, 2005 Interesting old man. You have cropped his hand off. nice shot Link to comment
mohsens 0 Posted September 26, 2005 I Cropped the fingers myself, because I wanted you to see his face, not focusing on fingers.I think his rings takes the attention of viewer to the rings. and I didn't want that. Link to comment
matty.d.vickery 0 Posted September 29, 2005 Hi, I don't think you should have cut the fingers off. The eye is lead from the face down the arms to the hands...can we see the original? Great shot though. Best regards, matt Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted March 5, 2006 Very nice portrait; an intense ( and sad) face. A pity the fingers are cut out. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted March 30, 2006 Very good, expressive portrai IMO. The fingers are not the issue for me, but what about a B&W ? I am not sure that color contributes here significantly to the photo. Link to comment
mohsens 0 Posted March 30, 2006 In fact I like colors. You see most of my photos are in colors. This is one of my first photos. Now I think I should have manipulated colors in PS. At least for more contrast. Also not cut fingers! Link to comment
david_cassidy2 0 Posted May 24, 2006 This is a wonderful image. The expression is perfect. The crop of the rings is not an issue, that is not what the image is about. However, it would be nice to see the rings in a second image, just to compare. Very well done! Link to comment
dash_payam 0 Posted August 3, 2006 I guess this old darvish always sits here in Hafeziyeh ! i took a picture of him 2 weeks ago ( i think exactly same spot ! ) Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted February 27, 2007 ... even if they distract, it would be because one is lingering over the shot for a period of time. The face is very compelling, the portrait is so strong, that it would be nice to let our eyes move around the shot. Good work! Link to comment
mohsens 0 Posted March 22, 2007 Because every one asked me for the fingers, I changed the photo with a photo of the old man including fingers. Link to comment
keeperofthefire 0 Posted June 4, 2007 Great capture of a Man whom appears to be quite the character! Regards, Charles Link to comment
