ljk 0 Posted August 29, 2005 The original had a painterly quality to it, and so I pushed it a little farther in that direction... Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted August 29, 2005 that was a good push you gave to it, it's very much like a drawing, nice bouquet of fading colours. You should also create the perfume for this ;-) Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted August 30, 2005 Linda, without a doubt, this is a very beautiful and unusual image. Keep pushing. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted August 30, 2005 Absolutely wonderful! It's as if someone very skilled in watercolors or pencil had applied his/her expertise. Link to comment
bentes_world 0 Posted August 30, 2005 Hydrangea - or Hortensia as the flower is named in Danish - is my over all favourite flower in photos. Painterly as you say Linda and with nice textures combined with a look of days past I can't think of many other flowers which are looking so well in a photo.... and the same here. It's simple and has the look of old days and you 'pushed' it very well ... very conveying. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted September 1, 2005 The tight crop and work on the tones is just perfect, especially the subtle color shades are magnificent ! Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted September 2, 2005 Got a 20D, huh? Very nice work here, for a Cannon (sic) person. Link to comment

colin carron 58,916 Posted September 2, 2005 Nice quality to the colours and the PS work makes it look like a pastel sketch. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted September 3, 2005 Linda - I love the muted colors here. Your PS work is great. This would definitely go on a wall if it were mine!!! Link to comment
mike werkhoven 0 Posted September 3, 2005 I like your selfportrait the shadow on the old treeroot, I hope it is not a selfreflection;~))) This hortensia shows pritty nice colors, rather painterly quality. Yours, Mike Link to comment

bens 0 Posted September 10, 2005 i don't know of anyone else around here who could pull this off. i've tried several times, but mine look more dead than alive, more depressing than enlivening. one quibble, some of the outlines of the flowers might be sharpened a little too much. sometimes i end up sharpening the inside of the flowers but not their outlines, maybe that helps? regardless, you've walked a fine line here quite successfully. Guest Guest Posted May 22, 2006 Outstanding, Linda - these are hard to do well and you've done it beautifully. Nice delicate touch you had with the push! I'd put it up on MY wall, too... Link to comment
