I was returning from Pelling to Siliguri to catch the Train for

Calcutta and suddenly in the road that happened. the Elephant was

hungry and was looking for some foods. The Military truck was

carrying raw vegetables and the Elephant went on it. I was lucky

enough to catch some movement and ultimately I missed the train.

What you think of it ........ thanks.

At first I thought , someone was feeding the elephant , but actually its holding up the truck as the largest bandit Ive ever seen ! I guess the people are all afraid to approach it, are they dangerous as wild animals? I ve never seen one in the wild. regards Robert :)

Very cool shots of elephant, should have convinced it to give you a ride home for missing the train! Carry peanuts next time so you can bribe it!!

Great candid shot Kaushik. With squeezed habitat, these elephants have very little left with themselves and now looting paddy fields, shops and trucks carrying foods. Today's Times of India carried a whole page of article on this, which is even surprising wildlife experts. It's really sad and the situation is irreversible now. Thanks a ton for sharing this moment with us. Best regards.
