American Goldfinch / Chardonneret jaune

Very pretty capture. These are such lovely birds. Fortuitous that you could catch the bird on the purple thistles, as the colors go well together for a pleasing image. We had one of these at our feeder a couple of days ago, but there was no way I could have gotten out there and got close enough to get a shot.

been a long time i wanted to take a "Chardonneret" on that plant. In french this plant gave the bird name so it's quite interesting. It only gives it's seeds during a week, hard to be there at the right time. THanks for all your comments.
