jana 1 Posted August 26, 2005 Composed from elements of the Gaudi's chimney design of the house Pedrera in Barcelona. This is a part of Gaudi folder, best viewed with the rest of photo's in the folder. Thank you jana Link to comment
barreto 0 Posted August 26, 2005 There is something in this image that remembers to me a painter who I much admire: Dali. However, of the three images that I see today this is the one that less touches me. Perhaps the symmetry is excessive or the tones of the round forms are not given well with the blue one (my English is a misery, forgive me). Link to comment
alejandrokeller 0 Posted August 26, 2005 It is really a wonderful image. I guess that is the reason why you could find similarities with the work of (great) paintors. That was probably not your intention but it reminds me of the images of Magritte.http://momastore.org/wcsstore/MoMATest/images/m_4496.jpgHope you do not mind me asking you this but, was there some PS work involved or did you really just cached the moments. Whatever your answer is, your image remains excellent. Regards, Alejandro Link to comment
jana 1 Posted August 26, 2005 Alejandro. first I did not know the image you included. It means I was not inspired by any other images. I just loved Gaudi and the sky as he was taking the inspiration from nature and he was playful in his design. And the sky that day made hommage to that kind of design. I am using 2 images from the same moment - on the roof. One image of the chimney on the roof of La Pedrera (mirrored), one of the sky. You can see the magnificent sky we had in the other images (see folder Gaudi en Gaudi v) that are just straight shots. thanks jana Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted January 11, 2007 Of your two Gaudi folders, this one is among the images I like best. A terrific composition. I also like your approach to the Gaudi theme: isolating selective views and focusing on details. I find your work in general truly impressive. Link to comment

sakke 0 Posted April 22, 2010 I hope your neck was not too tight in the evening while having waited views like this. Anyway, if it was, it was worth it. This is absolute charm. Link to comment
drjoder 0 Posted July 24, 2010 This one caught my eye immediately. As one of the posters above mentioned, it does have sort of a Dalí-like feel to it--appropriate as both were Catalans. This Gaudí folder means a lot to me as Barcelona is my adopted home town. Really nice work. Link to comment
