ghuczek 0 Posted August 24, 2005 Very nice. Great technique. I love the flash fill and the way it makes the bird seem more lifelike. Link to comment

jon thornton 0 Posted August 25, 2005 Let me guess, 500mm f4 * 1.4x teleconverter * 1.5 crop factor = 1050mm FOV. What type of tripod/head did you use to steady your equipment? Did you use your camera's timer to trip the shutter, or did you just press the shutter button very gently? P.S. Lovely shot. The shellfish makes this image. Link to comment
Coho 2 Posted August 25, 2005 photos were bracketed. 3 images per shutter release, .3 plus/minus. electronic shutter release plus luck. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted August 31, 2005 I find this quite funny... rather than the clam/calm joke, it rather makes me think "What the heck am I going to do next ?!" Nicely composed, the catchlight (is it natural?) in the gull's eye is a good added bonus to the shot. Link to comment
