hanna_cowpe 0 Posted August 25, 2005 Although the division of the space is similar here to the chair image, I think it works better here. There is a balance here of light and dark, shape and form. The negative space created by the void attracts as much attention as the vase (? - could be a furniture leg too I suppose) I look at the form and then I see a face profile in the black shape. I think there could be a psych test in there somewhere *?* Link to comment

fhick 0 Posted February 16, 2006 Another great picture. Just a little light to suggest the forms. Few light and much dark, all we need to make a good balance between lights and shadows. I like it, Fernand. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted February 16, 2006 Thanks Jana & Fernand. Took this in our hotel room, it was a vase on a chest of drawers. My husband thought I was nuts! :) Link to comment
mmmee 0 Posted March 8, 2006 An excellent find. You have an eye for the use of light and form in your photos. I think this could be called 'low key' -- the opposite of your over exposed (high key) portfolio. Your understanding and use of light and form/space is obvious in this shot. The off center framing is perfect. Wonderfull! Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted March 9, 2006 MM- thank you! I took this in our hotel room. I was bored, husband was reading, nothing of interest on TV & it was too late to go for a walk :) This was a vase, on an entry way table, of our suite. It was our 32 year anniversary trip. :) Link to comment
