mg 0 Posted September 29, 2005 I guess I'd crop some of the background on both sides of her to have her off the center in a square format. But this being said, it works like this as well. And I like her face and the gentle light very much. You have quite a few nice portraits in this folder, I think. And faces on them often have a nice expression too. Btw, I hope I didn't waste too much of your POW space on the page...? :-) Don't mind me too much: we are all passionate about what we think is right, etc. And your POW picture was a good opportunity for an interesting discussion, it seems. Cheers, and keep up the good work - and the colors too...:-) Link to comment
joe_vargas 0 Posted October 10, 2005 Jochen, The obvious is that she is stunning. This photo almost appears to be three dimensional. There is a perfect balance in the latitude from bright to dark. The offset allows the viewer to almost imagine what she is staring at. The color of her lips, eye shadow and scarf compliment each other as they fade into black. And like so many painting, the viewer is left to ponder her expression, one of rememberance, a little sad and maybe longing. I like the way it highlights in her hair, but doesn't on her shoulders. It's soft technically and yet you're required to focus intensely. Link to comment
